Fall 2010 Preview with Mori Lee!

On a chilly February weekend, Christine and I had the wonderful honor of being invited by Mori Lee Bridal Gowns to preview and critique the fall 2010 line in New York City!

Of course we said YES!! Madeline Gardner, the incredible, talented designer of Mori Lee gowns has outdone herself again. She flawlessly presented a collection of gowns that would stop any girl in her right in her tracks. What's to critique? She knows exactly what a bride wants.

Madeline then gave us a sneak peak at the bridesmaid collection too. Oh girls, what brilliant colors are in store for you. There's no boring run of the mill swatches there!

Mitchell Udell, owner of Mori Lee, graciously hosted an evening of fine food and conversation with other store owners, designers and members of the Mori Lee team. Steve Glaizer, our favorite Mori Lee representative, is shown in the photo above with us at during the event.

I can't wait until the Fall Collection arrives in our store. You'll be the first to know.

Allure Trunk Show & Sale

The Allure Bridal Trunk Show and Sale was simply Splendid!

A beautiful Valentine's Weekend made it extra special for brides to select their dream dress.

Of course, it doesn't hurt when the dress is one of the outstanding designs from Allure Bridal. Steve Blumberg personally attended to the brides making sure that every detail was perfect.

Allure Trunk Show & Sale

I'm so excited about our Allure Bridals Trunk show and bridal sale this weekend. The designers at Allure Bridal and Allure Couture have chosen a few of their favorite designs and some of the top styles of the 2010 bridal lines to send us for the weekend.

During the event, any gown from the Allure Collections will be on sale. Brides will be able to save on their veil and headpiece during this special promotion as well.

Meet Steve Blumberg, from Allure Bridals himself! Steve will be here on Saturday to help brides select the perfect gown and offer insight directly from the designer.

2010 Prom Focus Group Meeting

Fifty high school girls from the area spent an evening with us in the new prom store!

These junior and senior girls were hand selected to review gowns, study designer ads, and basically talk prom.

To get the fun started, the girls were broken up into groups. They were given a surprise box of mixed fabrics, ribbons, odds 'n ends and pins. A lead designer was chosen and then the model.

Each group had to design a prom dress, present it on the runway, and explain their inspiration!

What a blast! And very creative I might add.

Of course, we did give them a sneak preview of actual gowns on the runway, modeled by some of the sophmore students from Erie & Millcreek schools.

A great success for all! These "focus group" members will take advantage of "closed door" sales events, bonus discounts, and model for our prom shows and MTV Commercial!
